Snow conditions were forecast to be soft and unstable, so a trip to Arthurs Pass morphed into a day up at Mt Hutt Ski Field practising rope work amoung the steeper faces of the ski field.
Geoff and I did about 6 pitches and some simul climbing to make the top of the face. We then ambled up to the South Summit of Mt Hutt before making a few practise rap pitches backdown the slushy snow.
Had a good fun bum slide back down to the road.
