Devils Canyon, San Pedro, Chile

Sleuthing out the location of the Quebrada del Diablo (Devils Canyon) from a Lonely Planet one liner and a little help from the locals, I hired out a mountain bike and had a relaxing day exploring the nearby surrounds of San Pedro.

The Devils canyon is made of the same mix of volanic ash, Gypsum and salt as the rest of the badlands here, but is uniquely narrow and long. It encloses to arms width in places and is about 2km from start to finish. There´s a rideable track for the whole length, which made for an excellent peddal.

After exploring the Canyon, I followed another trail up hill to "El Tunnel" and a view point overlooking the area. Nice day´s activity...
